Hi Guys,

How do you think the ball flight would compare between these two driver/shaft combinations… Driver head @ 10 degrees with Maltby Pro Series A shaft VS Driver head @ 12 degrees with Aldila NV55 A. The Pro Series is supposed to be high trajectory and the NV is suppose to have a lower launch. I guess the question is, would the shaft characteristics have more influence than the club head loft? Do they have a similar flight and it’s just a matter of feel?

All other factors being equal, club loft has a greater influence on trajectory than shaft flex or profile, especially in your illustration of a 10 degree head vs. a 12 degree head. Both shafts you mention are excellent, though I believe the Pro Series + has slightly better feel. Which is better for you? If you’re looking for a higher launch, why not go with the Pro Series + in the 12 degree head?
