Having trouble removing the heads on 1976 wilson staff blades. heated with propane torch many times, but won’t even budge. I’m thinking that these iron heads may have a threaded hosel or something other than modern irons?

I’ve reshafted many irons, but I’m at a loss here. Any ideas?

I don’t believe they’re threaded. Try the torch again and shove a ram rod done the shaft. Smack it with a hammer. Bet it comes off then!

I had a 2 iron fluid feel and you describe the problem I had. The shaft was dimpled.
These clubs are machine manufactured and when that head is driven on to a dimpled shaft and it’s almost like they weren’t made to come off. That 2 iron head blew off about 10 feet. Didn’t have a shaft puller or leverage block. But it did come off.
