Having great success with the Kuro Kage HBP shafts in my fairway woods, which are Reg, 57 Gm, 5.0 torque, tipped 1/4”. Landed on those after trying several lighter shafts in reg.
Looking for shafts for irons and hybrids that would qualify as counterbalanced/HBP. Doesn’t seem to be any out there designated as such, nor is there any data I can find for shafts that would indicate where the balance points are listed. Generally looking for higher Torque 4-5* and a mid to mid high flight and light weight. Can you provide some possible iron and hybrid shafts in this range of specs that while maybe not designated as such, would have a higher balance point than average?

p.s. I’m using a Cypher 48 Gm 5.5 flex, 5.3 torque in my driver with greatly improved results after trying 5 other driver shafts in reg. My swing speed is 85 mph. Fairways and driver were previously Evenflow Blue 6.0

Although the Kuro Kage Black 2nd Gen irons and hybrids are not designated as “counterbalanced” they are the same materials and should provide you with similar playability and feel as the fairways. In comparing their balance points the are very slightly on the higher end of average for balance points. Again, I would not call them High balance points, but the balance point is higher than the NV iron, the Recoil irons and some others in similar weights. I would say the same for the hybrids. Still, you might look at the Aldila NV irons. They hit your torque requirements and have multiple weight options. The move from the Evenflow Blue 6.0 wood to the Cypher 48 5.5 is pretty significant and I can understand why you would hit the Cypher better based on your club head speed. As far as the irons and hybrids, either the Kuro Kage irons or possibly the Aldila NV irons might be worth a try. The Kuro Kage hybrids seem to be a solid choice based on the fact that you like the woods and fairways.

Yes, the change on the driver and fairways has been drastic-good. Lost a bunch of speed last 4 years, age and arthritis. Appreciate your suggestion on the KK 2gen iron shafts, actually have those in my hybrids last year, big improvement , but find them a little loose, too high, even tipped 1/2” over reg. For 10 years now, when I developed neck and shoulder problems, I’ve been swinging the irons, relative to the hybrids and woods, a lot slower. My subconscious takes over and won’t let me take a divot due to the pain on hitting the ground, unless it’s a really soft/lush fairway, on a tee, or the high brush mat on the range. Fine on the woods and hybrids. So I only hit an 8 iron 115. So I’ll try the KK shafts in a couple irons. Considering all this what would be the differences in my irons between the Aldila NV and the KK 2gen iron? Thanks Britt .
