Am I the only one who can’t seem to get these adapters to bond to a shaft. I’m probably at a 25% success rate. I scuff up the adapter with a wire brush. Properly prep the shaft tip and am using new or not very old epoxy. I’ve done the Tour set and the Tour Set +. Doesn’t seem to matter. Starts as a hosel creep and then I’ll notice the shaft has rotated from orientation. Then I can pull the adapters with out hear.

Someone for the love of all things golf… tell me what I’m doing wrong with these adapters.

I’m about to start using a dremel bit to rough up the bore of the adapter. Pretty frustrated and I’m a seasoned club builder to say the least.

Using the Drexel may have a negative effect.

The dremel would have only been used to lightly score the inside of the adapter…. But!!
I received a batch of adapters yesterday..it appears there has been a CHANGE in the adapters. There are now CUT rings in the KE4 TC adapters. This will cure any of my issues.
I see this on many OEM adapters I’m thankful for this change.

I’ve only done a couple of these and haven’t noticed a problem. Both were for my personal use. But, I seem to remember the inside diameter being slightly large. The adapter seemed to go on fairly easy even before prepping with the paint still on. I believe I made up my own shafting beads to help.
