I have played that combo earlier in the year and it’s a fairly natural blend.
I found the gaps as stated by factory specs to be very manageable. If you get on a launch monitor or out in play and are seeing huge gaps in distance then make adjustments. Most golfers don’t notice a degree here or there in their sets. Not to mention few golfers are that consistent to see those differences as well. Taking a little off a swing or going a bit harder for me is a lot easier to do once I know set distances for each club.
I’m also not a fan of lofting or delofting heads too far from factory specs. A lot of work goes into setting bounce angles. Why ruin that??
Build the set and just go play. I found the TS-2 long irons to be outstanding and just that.. LONG!! The TS-1 short irons have amazing accuracy. Go Combo!!
