We have a lot of things in the works. We do have one new iron that will be a 2020 model. We are tentatively calling it the STi2 and it will be the next generation of the ST Series. There will be hybrids, fairways and Drivers as well. We have been working on a couple of wedge projects and it remains to be seen when we will have them ready to introduce. I think at least one new model of wedge will be released sometime in 2020. No “muscle back” type design and no replacement for the MMB-17 for 2020. We are considering new forged cavity and muscle back designs for 2021. Still “sketching” out ideas and dimensions, etc. at this point.
We area also working on a new line that will be more for slower swing speeds. Basically it is replacing the LTech, but will be for both men and women with medium to slower swing speeds and can benefit from high playability irons and higher lofted drivers. Very similar in specs to the current LTech.

The idea of a ‘gender neutral’ Ltech sounds great. There have been a few men i would have loved to fit into the Ltech but they never embraced playing a ladies club.
Of course there always be new equipment on the market, new designs and qualities. But it’s rather expensive, to buy always new clubs, I change my set once in 2-3 years, in order to save some money for it. Any of the new designs that you think might push the MPF envelope (1.000+points) or going for more traditional aesthetics? Considered a high MOI thin faced iron design extreme MPF design(realize you aesthetics). I´ve found for my own personal swing higher MOI seems to be of help.
Have you given multi material irons a thought(titanium+ tungsten etc.)?
Have you measured hybrids for MPF? I´m very curious how the specs compare to irons of the same headweight. 11 years old Maltby Hybrid ST irons I found still perform amazingly.

The new STi2 should be Ultra Game Improvement, but not sure how high yet. It should be mid to high 800’s, but will not know for sure until we get the final metal sample, which should be soon. Thin face extreme MPF irons we have done before. The MP1’s were that way and did OK. We seemed to have more luck selling the really extreme designs a decade ago. That challenge is to get as high a playability as possible without the design being too weird. We’ve had the extreme before, with the Gliders and the RDM’s, as well as others. We have some ideas cooking, but too early to know for sure what might get done. As far as multi materials, like including a titanium face in an iron, we have always felt that a ti face iron adds more to the cost than the benefit received. Yes, titanium is lighter and stronger and gives us more discretionary weight, but with the technology today and how we can use heat treating of high strength stainless steel, we can still do thin face reduced weight faces in irons without the expense of titanium. We still might do one some day, but no immediate plans for now. Tungsten we use all the time and both the TS1 and TS2 have tungsten in them. Great material for moving weight to where you want it without adding bulk. Hybrid MPF’s are measured, but the nature of “traditional” hybrids generally makes all of them Super or Ultra Game Improvement. Low profile with lower and more rearward cg locations enhance the playability. Ralph has a comparison of just what you are asking in the original MPF book. The link is below:

We do have several new irons in the works, all with different due dates. We will have the STi2 that will be replacing the Sti and the STi OS, which are going away. Undercut cavity with some cool features and high playability. New Hybrids, fairways and Drivers for the ST line as well. We are hopeful for spring, but could be a little later. New line of drivers, fairways, hybrids and irons for slower swing speeds (replaces LTech, but will be for men and women). Name will be released later. Probably mid summer before that can be ready. The new TC Driver to finish out the TC line will be available in spring. Adjustable, great look and testing has been phenomenal. There are new wedges as well, the TSW Series to kind of compliment the TS1 and TS2 irons. Great looking wedges with sole grinds that should appeal to a broad range of players. Other irons in the works but most likely 2021. No pure muscle back replacement for the MMB-17, but surely thinking in that direction.
